A shaveless FUE hair transplant, also known as no-shave or long-hair FUE, is a type of hair transplant where the surgeon extracts and implants individual hair follicles without shaving the donor or recipient areas. Follicular Unit Extraction still takes place, with follicles removed one by one from the donor area, usually the back of the head. Instead of shaving the entire donor region, the surgeon trims only the hairs being taken so the surrounding hair remains long and covers the area. The follicles are then transplanted into thinning or balding areas just like in a standard FUE procedure. People choose this option because they can keep their normal hairstyle, the surgery is much less noticeable, and they can return to daily life with minimal visible signs of treatment.
